Julia M. Lodsin Julia M. Lodsin joined Mills, Shay, Lexier & Talbot in the summer of 2017. Ms. Lodsin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2007 from Newbury College in Boston, Massachusetts. During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Lodsin worked various part-time jobs throughout the city, and one of her favorites was getting to take souvenir photos for fans at Fenway Park during the 2007 World Series, and watching the games from different viewpoints in the park. After graduating, Ms. Lodsin returned to her home state of Connecticut and worked at two Department of Corrections’ clinics, counseling clients on complying with their parole and probation conditions. In 2010, Ms. Lodsin moved to San Diego, California to attend Thomas Jefferson School of Law. She earned her Juris Doctor from TJSL in 2013. While in law school, Ms. Lodsin interned at the California Innocence Project, San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program-Domestic Violence clinic, San Diego County’s Office of the Public Defender-felony division and Office of the Alternate Public Defender- juvenile delinquency division. After law school, Ms. Lodsin entered private practice with a focus on criminal defense and post-conviction relief. Ms. Lodsin moved to Smithfield in September, 2016 to begin a new adventure with her soul-mate, James (a Maine native) and to be closer to family on the East coast. When Ms. Lodsin is not working as an attorney, she enjoys cooking and baking, trying out new places to eat, hiking, biking, camping, exploring, traveling, reading, watching movies, and studying Spanish. Ms. Lodsin was admitted to the California Bar in June of 2014 and the Maine Bar in July of 2017. She is a member of the American Bar Association, California Bar Association, Maine Bar Association and Somerset County Bar Association.

Criminal: criminal defense, juvenile delinquency, post-conviction relief, constitutional rights education, driving offenses Since joining the firm, Ms. Lodsin has been exploring new practice areas and gaining experience in domestic relations (divorce/parental rights), Protection from Abuse orders, corporate and real estate matters, land-use issues (boundary and road disputes), evictions, foreclosures, title searches, probate and estate planning matters, and trial work in Probate Court and the State District Courts.
